Craig Henry was born in Ruston, Louisiana in 1948. He graduated cum laude from Louisiana Tech University in 1970 with a B. A. degree in English. At Louisiana Tech Craig served as Student Body President and was elected to Omicron Delta Kappa leadership honor society, Phi Kappa Phi scholastic honor society and Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities. In 1973 he received his Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where he ranked second in his graduating class and was elected to The Order of the Coif and the Louisiana Law Review, serving as Senior Associate Editor in his senior year.

Upon graduation from law school Craig joined the firm of Hudson, Potts & Bernstein where he has practiced for almost 40 years.

Craig is admitted to practice before all state courts in Louisiana, the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the United States Court of Claims and the United States Supreme Court.  

He is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association where he formerly served on the Committee on Bar Admissions, the Fourth Judicial District Bar Association, the Bank Counsel Committee of the Louisiana Bankers Association where he formerly served as president, the Louisiana Land Title Association and the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel. He is an emeritus member of the Fred J. Fudickar American Inn of Court. Craig is also a licensed Louisiana title insurance agent.

Craig is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and was selected as a Louisiana Superlawyer in the area of banking in 2007, 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Craig has spoken at conferences in various venues in the areas of professionalism, security devices and arbitration.

He is the author of “Spendtrust Trusts in Louisiana”, 33 Louisiana Law Review 391, 1973 and “Harris v. New York: The Retreat from Miranda”, 32 Louisiana Law Review ___, 1972.
